HAPPY
NEW YEAR!
I wish for you a very profitable year filled with not just work, but fun, education and family time.
**********My daughter sent this to me. It is what I have been saying all along, “Customer service is going down hill.”
I want to bring great customer service back into business. I love it when I help people and they are happy and satisfied with the customer service they received. That is why I started this business!
Screw the Customers
We've got a plan to make'em sweat and generate more dough
We just add fees for simple thing folks would want to know
We make 'em pay in 30 days to get advice-NOT free
FAQs will never help- just send the cash to ME.
Don't ask for customer service. It's just a silly game
We'll transfer you to way offshore where folks can't say your name. They read a script that makes no sense and tell you that they're sorry The program's fried, your data's gone and still they say, "well, sorry."
You pay a fortune for the room on Kona by the shore
They'll charge a buck to ride one way to reach the ONLY store They want a buck so you can sit on a chaise by the sea Another buck for towels-but hey-the sand is free.
On ritzy grounds, you pay THE price for staying in this place but park your car? Costs more you know. We're in the dollar race and how about the telephone? One buck a local call And yes, plus minute charges unless it's down the hall.
We're cutting back on service help. You need to stand in line Have questions you need answered? Sorry - we don't have the time. You want a person on the phone? Why surely you must jest! Just go online and search for days. Be frustrated with the rest.
We just can't be bothered doing business face-to-face
And God Forbid we have a human answering in this place.
Don't look for a service number on our warranty - big and bold. You bought the stuff. It's up to you. We just want the sucker sold.
RETORT:
So just keep on what you're doing. Because I'm in business too. I'll do what you're not doing and feel good when day is through. They'll stay with me forever and bring their friends along. Money's just applause for service and makes a better song.

**********INITIATIVE vs. Idleness
Recognizing and doing what needs to be done before I am asked to do it.
Aspects of Initiative
- Do what is right before being told.
- Do not put off until tomorrow the things you can do today.
- Contribute to the success of the whole team.
- Be a part of the solution rather than the problem.
- Look for ways to help others.

OK, DAVE F.! The second bullet really hit home! I am soooo guilty of putting things off until “later.” I think I am too busy to accomplish many tasks, but in all reality, I can find time to get more things done during the day or evening. I can let one episode of Desperate Housewives go by without watching it and that would give me an extra hour. Or, I can quit arguing with my husband about petty things and that would give me another couple of hours during the week. I am sure all of us can find extra time by giving up something insignificant.
FARRIER APPOINTMENT SERVICE TEAM is
Initiative. We are a part of the solution to your customer service, scheduling, and phone problems. We look for ways to help you. We want to do what is right for your business. We will not put your customers off until tomorrow. We will deal with them today. And, we will contribute to the success of your business, because you are part of our team.
BILLY’S INITIATIVE
As the Adams family learned about initiative, Mr. Adams explained to three-year-old Billy that initiative was “helping Mommy without being told.”
The next day, Mrs. Adams walked into the utility room to find her young son standing on a stool he had pulled over next to the washing machine. Billy had an empty laundry detergent box in his hands, and the small piles of detergent in the surrounding vicinity bore witness to his youthful industry.
When Billy saw his mother, his face lit up. “Look Mommy, initiative!” Billy’s mother smiled as she thanked Billy for his help…and explained how he could improve by addressing a few details he had overlooked.
**********FITNESS TIP…
SALT—“especially before bed is the worst thing to eat for your skin. Eating salt can lead to water retention, which makes your face look puffy and bloated. High-salt foods to stay away from: canned soup, sauerkraut, and potato salad.
**********Mark your calendars for May 19 & 20, 2006. Dr. Esco Buff, PhD, CF and Farrier Appointment Service Team, Inc. will present another great Educational Equine Event! There will be lectures and live demonstrations. All details have not been finalized, but we will be having it on those dates!
