I am so excited! Farrier Appointment Service Team, Inc. will be hosting a two day seminar September 30 – October 1, 2005! The seminar will be held in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Farriers, Veterinarians, and Horse Owners will benefit from this two day seminar on “How to Successfully Treat the Foundered Horse” and “Limb Length Disparity,” by Dr. Esco Buff, PhD, CF. There will be live one-on-one shoeing demonstrations and much more.

Dr. Esco Buff is the owner of Esco Buff’s Farrier and Founder Service located in Webster, New York. He is a leader in the field of foundered and limb length disparity horseshoeing. Dr. Esco Buff is an American Farriers Association Certified Farrier with 31 years experience trimming and shoeing horses and the creator and author of Founder Data Collection and Analysis Form©, and the book, Founder Data Collection and Analysis, How to Take, Read and Interpret Radiographs for the Prognosis and Treatment of the Foundered Horse.

Dr. Buff has documented and shod over 625 new-foundered cases during 1991-2003. He had a 98% survival rate with these horses. Of these, 83% returned to their original state of soundness, 16% were unable to return to their original state of soundness and 2% were euthanized.

You are the first to know about this upcoming event! I will have more details by the next newsletter, but I want to warn you that space is limited! The cost is only $100.00 to attend both days!

Reserve your spot by sending $100.00, check or money order, payable to Farrier Appointment Service Team, Inc. (or FAST because it’s shorter), to:

Justice can bring credibility to your business.

A business owner must practice honesty, respect for other team members (family members included), and sensitivity to customer needs. Standards for your business are only as effective as your commitment to justice. A business will be a business of integrity only if the owner consistently follows just policies and procedures

FITNESS TIP
Something’s got to protect your knee from all the pounding it takes, and that’s where the meniscus comes in. It’s the shock absorber that cushions and distributes the force on your knee. To guard your knees against a meniscus tear, use the following exercise to stretch your hip flexors (the muscles in front of your hips). Move into lunge position with your left knee forward and bent, and your right knee touching the ground. Jut your right hip forward and shift your weight backward. You should feel the stretch in your right hip. Switch legs.                                                                                                                    –Health
